After matriculating in 2001, his aspirations led him to Pretoria Technikon (now Tshwane University of Technology) to pursue Information Technology. Circumstances may have temporarily paused his academic pursuits, but his inherent determination saw him return to Welkom to work, fuelling his ambition to return to education.
That drive culminated in his studies at the University of Johannesburg, where he majored in Business Analysis, graduating in 2006. Finger wasn’t just a student; he excelled, becoming a Tutor and Junior Lecturer, demonstrating an early commitment to mentorship – a quality that shines through in his current role at CRW Radio.
Finger’s entrepreneurial fire ignited post-graduation. He launched an IT services business, showcasing his tech acumen through website design and software solutions. His innovative spirit then led him to diversify into an unexpected sector: chicken farming. Selling chickens, eggs, and even meaty bones, Finger demonstrated a versatility and willingness to explore opportunities – key traits he now champions on his CRW Radio show.
In 2011, Finger brought his growing business acumen to the State Information Technology Agency (SITA) as a Junior Business Analyst, further refining his understanding of the corporate landscape. His dedication extended beyond business, as evidenced by his involvement with the NGO Reach Out and Touch, where he tirelessly worked to bring joy and sustenance to those in need.
Finger’s career trajectory showcases impressive growth. Following roles at Multi-Tech College and Deloitte, he co-founded FK Consulting, solidifying his entrepreneurial footprint. Notably, his experience as a producer for a business show at The Rock FM provided him with an early platform to connect with and amplify the stories of established entrepreneurs – a precursor to his current impactful role at CRW Radio.
Prior to joining the CRW Media Group family, Finger served as a Business Applications Analyst at Finger Empire from 2019. His passion for radio then led him to co-found Naledi Ya Meso, a station that thrived for two years before evolving into Sbigo in 2023, where he held the crucial positions of Technical and Content Director.
